Pronto video!

Here's a fuzzy, dim clip of the song "Oh My Mind Is Waking Up," from the show at Smooch last night.

From left to right its Larry Brown, Greg O'Keeffe & Me. Dig the cool video flecks provided by Deborah Johnson.

Muchas Smoochas

Preparations have been underway for our Wednesday night slot at Smooch and the preliminary results have been getting us all well chuffed.

I'm playing acoustic guitar & singing
Greg O'Keeffe is playing drums
Larry Brown is playing acoustic guitar too
Adam Chilenski is playing upright bass.
Deborah Johnson is projecting video onto a homemade mirror mobile.

If you're in Brooklyn on a school night, fall by.

Take care,

Mikael.

Historical Pronto Lesson

In 2000, Chris Girard, Greg O'Keeffe, Noel Kupersmith, & I recorded a slew of songs that were intended to be a record, but life got in the way and it became the object of neglect.

Until now.

Pronto's 2000 "Nothing Happens On The Moon" EP

1. Tectonics
2. Ginny Wrapped In The Sun
3. Einladung
4. Catch That Martian
5. The Cheetah
6. Biarritz
7. Tardigrades
8. Roebling

Tracks 2, 7 & 8 feature the cornet of Rob Mazurek

Recorded at SOMA EMS in the summer of 2000.

Bon Ecouté!

More returning

So after an incredibly long, tumultuous year of battling mysterious illness and relocating to New York, I'm back on the blog.

A quick summary:

- I sold my car & bought a bike! Yes!
- I've moved to Fort Greene in Brooklyn in June of 2006 and couldn't be happier.
- Pronto has been formed and has been performing in fits and starts in the NYC area over the past several months. This month on Wednesday nights we're residing at Smooch Cafe in Fort Greene, in Brooklyn.
- Wilco has finished "Sky Blue Sky" & it is due out May 15th. Fantastic amounts of music and travel fast approaches. An exciting time for us to be sure.

Stay tuned...

Keep warm,

Mikael
